Cyber security is no longer just about technology, it is about people.

Fusion Unified were invited to attend a cyber security event at BT HQ in London on Wednesday 3rd June, where industry experts from one of our trusted key suppliers came together to explore the realities of today’s threat landscape.

A key highlight was a session from Jesse Tuttle, known as Hackah Jak, a former FBI and Interpol most-wanted hacker turned ethical cyber security advisor. His talk, Inside the Mind of a Hacker, delivered a powerful insight into how modern cyber attacks are executed.

The most important takeaway was clear, cyber attackers are increasingly targeting people, not just systems.

The session demonstrated how tactics such as impersonation, urgency, and trust-based manipulation are being used to bypass traditional security measures, these human-led attacks are becoming more sophisticated, more frequent and more effective.

The event also reinforced the importance of a proactive cyber security strategy. Key areas discussed included vulnerability scanning and penetration testing as a service (PenX), dark web monitoring (CyberProtect), ransomware protection, and Cyber Essentials certification, all essential components for strengthening organisational resilience.

As highlighted during the event, cyber security today is no longer just about technology, it is about people, behaviour, and understanding how attacks really happen.

Attending events like this ensures Fusion Unified remains at the forefront of emerging threats, allowing us to continuously support our customers with informed, practical security guidance.
